Sankofa’s mission is to bring revitalization, financial empowerment, and socio-economic development to the Greater Baltimore community.  Through diverse programs, economic & strategic partnerships, resource development, and charitable outreach, Sankofa will help to inform policymakers, while empowering and enriching individuals, families, and communities.
Sankofa’s vision is to become an effective faith-based organization that socio-economically fosters, promotes, and empowers individuals, families and communities in Baltimore and surrounding metropolitan areas in Maryland. Our success is made evident through the tireless efforts of its executive board, members, and many partners.
Services range from educational, health care, community redevelopment to financial empowerment and other special events. Future transitional housing, assistance employment, and health needs for homeless veterans are only a few of the many empowering programs Sankofa CDC (SCDC) hopes to offer. Community Partnership Initiatives - Community Outreach

Sankofa forms alliances with all homeowner associations (HOA) surrounding the Sankofa CDC Headquarters and the New Psalmist Baptist Church. Under this initiative, community groups are informed of the progress of the church and the projects Sankofa CDC sponsor in the neighborhood.
Sankofa can assist in the development and drafting of grant proposals for community association based funds and assist in the forward movement of community initiatives that are stalled due to government regulations or procedures. Communities surrounding Sankofa headquarters are offered the opportunity to showcase their community on Sankofa’s Website free of charge to share upcoming events and history.
